“The Bridge-Builder,” a poem written in 1890 by Nashville author Will Allen Dromgoole, tells the tale of an old man who built a bridge to span a vast chasm. When asked why he undertook the strenuous task, the old man cited a young man who followed him across the water and said, “I am building this bridge for him.”

DESCCO has built many of the bridges and roadways that will allow us to travel for many, many generations.

Perhaps there is no better illustration of merging man-made structures with nature than in building the paths across our earth.
